[Remote] Surveyor - Ambulatory Care Dentist
                                Note: The job is a remote job and is open to candidates in USA. Joint Commission is seeking an Ambulatory Care Surveyor - Dentist to survey ambulatory organizations across the United States. The role involves assessing compliance with standards, engaging with healthcare staff, and preparing management reports to identify opportunities for improvement.
Responsibilities
• Surveys ambulatory organizations throughout the United States within the full scope of the Joint Commission’s Ambulatory Programs.
• Applies systems analysis skills and inductive reasoning skills to determine ambulatory and imaging centers' degree of compliance with applicable standards and functionality of care delivery systems.
• Engages health care organization staff in interactive dialogues on standards based issues in health care in order to assess compliance and to identify opportunities for improving compliance.
• Prepares management reports that clearly link individual standards deficiencies with potential systems vulnerabilities and related organization risk points.
• Effectively communicates this information to health care organization leadership in a constructive and collegial style that leads to a meaningful and inspirational customer experience.
• Participates in other Joint Commission activities as assigned by supervisor.
Skills
• Current professional licensure in related discipline is required at the time of hire
• Board Certified
• Minimum of five years of experience working in an ambulatory care setting
• Three years of direct clinical experience
• Two years in management and/or quality improvement
• Current knowledge of The Joint Commission accreditation process
• Strong interpersonal skills
• Strong communication skills
• Strong problem-solving skills
• Expertise in interviewing
• PC proficiency
• Must be able to lift 25 lbs.
• Must be able to climb stairs
• Must be able to work in settings with infectious diseases
• Must be able to travel nationwide 100% of work time
• Must be available to provide monthly availability and work one, two or three weeks per month
• Experience working with an FQHC and/or underserved population
• Experience in a culturally diverse work environment
Education Requirements
• Doctor of Medical Dentistry or Doctor of Dental Surgery
