Create a Parametric Digital Twin from 2D PDF Drawings (SolidWorks • STEP AP242 • FEA/Kinematics)
We need an expert (or small team) to convert a full 2D PDF drawing set into a parametric, production-ready 3D digital twin in SolidWorks, with ISO-compliant drawings, BOMs, and basic simulations.
Scope (deliverables):
3D CAD (parametric): Top-level assembly + structured sub-assemblies/parts with materials & mass props.
Drawings (ISO): Fully dimensioned part/assembly drawings (GD&T per ISO 1101, ISO 8015/129-1/2768/286/1302/13715/2553 incl. welds & sheet-metal flat patterns).
BOMs: Top-level & purchasing BOM (XLSX/CSV); cut lists.
Simulation: Motion/kinematics check + FEA on critical parts, with short report (assumptions, safety factor).
Exports: Native SolidWorks files, STEP AP242 (preserve assembly tree), Parasolid, DXF/DWG, PDFs, 3D-PDF/eDrawings.
Quality bar:
Zero interferences, fully toleranced drawings, consistent BOMs, and a brief, reproducible FEA setup.
Standards & notes:
SolidWorks (recent version).
Risk notes per ISO 12100; awareness of EU Machinery Directive helpful.
NDA & full IP transfer required.
Include in your bid:
3–5 portfolio links (parametric assemblies, ISO drawings, FEA examples).
Your approach & timeline (milestones) and fixed price or hourly + cap.
Tools/versions (e.g., SW Simulation/Motion). Team size/roles if applicable.
Quick screening (answer briefly):
How do you structure large parametric assemblies to avoid rebuild loops?
One FEA example (loads/BCs, mesh, acceptance criteria).
Can you export STEP AP242 with correct assembly structure and supply 3D-PDF/eDrawings?
