Key Responsibilities
- Model and deliver a distinctive and delightful customer experience, engaging customers and patients by greeting them and offering assistance with products and services.
 - Register sales on assigned cash register, provide customers with courteous, fair, friendly, and efficient checkout service, and process prescriptions under the direct supervision of a pharmacist.
 - Use pharmacy systems to obtain patient and drug information, process prescriptions, and ensure accurate and efficient service.
 - Resolve customer issues and answer questions to ensure a positive customer experience, and model and share customer service best practices with all team members.
 - Provide customers with courteous, friendly, fast, and efficient service, recommend items for sale, and recommend trade-up and/or companion items.
 - Maintain accurate records, keep counters and shelves clean and well-merchandised, and take inventory as required or as directed by the store manager or shift leader.
 - Perform duties as assigned by the Pharmacy Manager, Staff Pharmacist, and Store Manager, including utilizing pharmacy systems to enter patient and drug information, filling prescriptions, and verifying medicine.
 - Report prescription errors to the pharmacist on duty, adhere to blithequark policies and procedures, and review and comply with the blithequark Pharmacy Code of Conduct.
 
Essential Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent required, with a degree in pharmacy or a related field preferred.
 - Previous experience in a pharmacy or customer service environment, with knowledge of pharmacy operations and procedures.
 - Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to engage with customers and patients in a friendly and professional manner.
 - Ability to work accurately and efficiently in a fast-paced environment, with attention to detail and a focus on customer satisfaction.
 - Basic math skills, with the ability to handle cash and operate a cash register.
 - Ability to stand for long periods, lift up to 25 pounds, and move around the store to assist customers.
 
Preferred Qualifications
- PTCB certification or state required certification/registration, with a commitment to earning and maintaining certification through the designated training program.
 - Previous experience with pharmacy systems and software, with the ability to learn and adapt to new technologies.
 - Knowledge of healthcare and pharmacy, including latest news and developments, with a commitment to ongoing learning and professional development.
 - Experience with inventory management, including ordering, unpacking, checking, and storing shipments of pharmaceuticals.
