Job Responsibilities

As a Full Stack Data Engineer at Blithequark, you will be responsible for:

  • Developing software programs that process, store, and serve data to be used by others
  • Designing and developing information systems and pipelines to organize, acquire, and standardize data that facilitates generating insights and addresses reporting needs
  • Writing ETL (Extract / Transform / Load) procedures, designing database structures, and developing tools for real-time and offline analytic processing
  • Building data pipelines that can be scalable, repeatable, and secure
  • Troubleshooting software programs and procedures for data consistency and integrity
  • Integrating data from multiple sources, ensuring that they adhere to data best practices and accessibility standards
  • Effectively resolving issues and roadblocks as they occur
  • Interacting with internal and external stakeholders and/or managers to communicate semi-complicated data associated with assigned activities

Essential Qualifications

To be successful in this role, you will need:

  • Bachelor's degree and at least 2 years of experience in data engineering; OR Graduate Degree in a technical discipline
  • Advanced understanding of SQL
  • Experience setting up and maintaining key relationships with internal (colleagues, business partners, and leadership) and external (business community, customers, and vendors) stakeholders within a matrix organization to ensure best-in-class service
  • Experience reading and reporting data to identify issues, trends, or exceptions to drive the development of outcomes and discover solutions
  • Willingness to travel up to 10% of the time for business purposes (within state and out of state)

Preferred Qualifications

We prefer candidates with:

  • Experience with REST API development
  • Experience with Azure software deployment
  • Experience in Azure technology, such as Azure Data Factory, Azure Databricks using Python or Scala, App Services, Azure Data Lake, Azure Functions, Event Hubs, Event Grids, and Logic App
  • Experience in building Azure DevOPS pipelines to enable CI/CD, Infrastructure as Code (IaC), and automation
