Key Responsibilities
- Provide customer engagement in a positive and approachable manner, ensuring that every customer interaction is friendly, helpful, and respectful.
 - Assist in maintaining a clean, well-stocked store for customers during their shopping experience, including stocking shelves, recovering merchandise, and ensuring that the store is tidy and organized.
 - Help in the unloading of merchandise from delivery trucks, organize merchandise, and transport merchandise from the stockroom to the sales floor, ensuring that all products are properly stored and displayed.
 - Independently stock shelves and recover merchandise in the store, using initiative and judgment to ensure that all products are properly faced, fronted, and stocked.
 - Accurately handle customer funds and process transactions using the POS system, ensuring that all transactions are completed efficiently and accurately.
 - Remain constantly aware of customer activity to ensure a safe and secure shopping environment, reporting any incidents or concerns to management promptly.
 - Perform all other duties as assigned in order to maintain an effective and profitable store operation, including participating in visual merchandising, maintaining store displays, and supporting other team members as needed.
 
Position Requirements
To be successful in this role, you will need to meet the following requirements:
- Education: Prefer completion of high school or equivalent. Ability to follow directives and interpret retail operational documents as assigned.
 - Experience: Prefer experience working in retail, hotel, restaurant, grocery, or drug store environments. Previous customer service experience is an asset.
 - Physical Requirements: Ability to regularly lift up to 40lbs. (and occasionally, up to 55 lbs.) from floor level to above shoulder height; must be able to meet demands of frequent walking, standing, stooping, kneeling, climbing, pushing, pulling, and repetitive lifting, with or without reasonable accommodation.
 - Availability: Ability to work flexible, full-time schedule to include days, evenings, weekends, and holidays. Must be able to adapt to changing store schedules and priorities.
