Job Summary
As a Customer Service Representative at Blithequark, you will play a critical role in delivering exceptional service to our members and clients. You will respond to questions, resolve issues, and provide guidance on our plans, products, and services. You will work in a fast-paced, dynamic environment, handling a high volume of calls, emails, and written correspondence. Key Responsibilities:
- Respond to questions and resolve issues from members, providers, and plan sponsors via phone, email, and written correspondence.
 - Escalate emergencies to the appropriate staff and record and track contacts with members, providers, and plan sponsors.
 - Guide members through their plan benefits, Blithequark policies, and procedures, and provide information on available resources.
 - Build personal relationships with members by understanding and engaging with them to support their best health outcomes.
 - Take ownership of understanding members' needs by building trusting and caring relationships.
 - Anticipate member needs and provide related information to address unasked questions.
 - Utilize customer service tools and resources to resolve member issues.
 - Explain member limitations according to contract.
 - Process claims references, new case handoffs, nurse reviews, complaints, and requests from members and providers.
 - Educate providers on self-service options and assist with credentialing and re-credentialing issues.
 - Handle document audit requests and litigation-related inquiries.
 - Assist with preparing protest pattern reports and integrating claims data for client reviews.
 - Determine clinical needs, relevant coverage policies, and check member plan eligibility.
 - Handle incoming requests for pre-approvals and reviews.
 
Requirements:
To be successful in this role, you will need:
- A Bachelor's degree in a related field.
 - Customer service experience in a call center or retail environment, preferably in the healthcare industry.
 - Excellent oral and written communication skills.
 - Proficiency in Microsoft Office, particularly Word and Outlook.
 - Ability to multitask and work in a fast-paced environment.
 - Strong problem-solving and critical thinking skills.
 - Compassion, empathy, and a patient-centric approach.
