About the Role
As a Pharmacy Service Representative working from home in Tennessee, you'll be the primary point of contact for patients, insurance companies, healthcare providers, and internal teams. Your superb communication skills will ensure the smooth processing of specialty medications, timely resolution of issues, and compassionate care for our patients.
Key Responsibilities
- Coordinate and process new patient medication orders and reorders, verifying and revivifying benefits as needed.
- Translate and enter new or refill prescriptions into the pharmacy information system.
- Communicate and collect copay amounts, obtain authorizations, and work with insurance companies to resolve issues.
- Collaborate with healthcare providers and internal teams to screen, identify, resolve, and defer orders with accounts receivable or clinical issues.
- Provide exceptional customer service, responding to patient inquiries and concerns in a timely and professional manner.
Essential Qualifications
To succeed in this role, you'll need:
- At least one year of experience in a customer service role, handling and resolving complex customer needs over the phone.
- Proficiency in Windows-based applications, including Microsoft Office, internet navigation, and email applications.
- Strong computer keyboarding skills and aptitude.
