About the position Responsibilities • Processing incoming emails, faxes, and mail related to renewals, reciprocities, and approvals to test in a timely manner. • Ensuring the accuracy of Certified Nurse Aide's (CNA) information on the registry. • Updating the registry to reflect each CNA's current status as active or lapsed and uploading that information to the contractor. • Answering inquiries via email, fax, mail, and phone regarding the Nurse Aide Registry processes and regulations. • Contacting employers and CNAs for additional information or verification of employment status. • Sending renewal and reciprocity applications, approval to test letters, and other requested information to CNAs. • Acting as a liaison with contractors, healthcare providers, staffing agencies, educators, and other state nurse aide registries. • Meeting with CNAs who seek assistance in person. • Providing support for the CNA abuse committee by taking minutes and maintaining the database with current information. • Ensuring findings of abuse, neglect, and misappropriation of resident property are noted on the registry within 10 working days of the final decision. Requirements • Experience monitoring a records system to identify and correct errors, typically gained by one year of full-time work experience. • Experience researching various sources to resolve problems, typically gained by one year of full-time work experience. • Experience interpreting, explaining, and applying regulations, laws, or complex policies, typically gained by one year of work experience. • Experience entering and retrieving data using a computerized records system, typically gained by six months of work experience.
