[Remote] Museum IT Project Coordinator
Note: The job is a remote job and is open to candidates in USA. Corestaff Services is seeking a Museum IT Project Coordinator for a one-year engagement with one of their premier clients starting in January 2026. The primary objective of this role is to successfully manage the transition from Voyager to a new Integrated Library System (ILS), ensuring effective communication and coordination among Museum departments, IT, and the ILS vendor.
Responsibilities
• Develop and maintain comprehensive project plans for the implementation of a new ILS.
• Coordinate communications and meetings between Museum departments, IT, and the ILS vendor.
• Schedule timelines, lead meetings, track tasks, and manage project milestones.
• Prepare technical manuals, guides, and other documentation related to the ILS transition.
• Ensure staff have access to necessary training and resources to support the new system.
• Provide regular progress reports and updates to project stakeholders.
• Collaborate with other project managers to align the ILS transition with concurrent initiatives, including those supporting the new Permanent Exhibit.
• Coordinate integration efforts with related systems (Aeon, OpenText Media Management, Illumin, ArchivesSpace, EMu).
• Maintain a high standard of customer service when addressing questions, issues, and technical challenges.
Skills
• 3-5 Years of demonstrated experience managing projects involving integrated library systems (ILS) or similar technical systems in a museum, library, or archival setting.
• Experience preparing documentation and training materials for system implementations.
• Familiarity with library and archival workflows, particularly cataloging and metadata management.
• Basic technical knowledge to understand and support staff requirements for cataloging and research systems.
• Strong organizational and project management skills with experience scheduling, running meetings, and managing timelines.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to collaborate across departments and with vendors.
• Knowledge of related systems (Aeon, OpenText, Illumin, ArchivesSpace, EMu)
Education Requirements
• Master’s in Library Science (MLS or MLIS)
