Key Responsibilities of the Per Diem ADHD Evaluator

  • Conduct comprehensive assessments and diagnoses of Attention Deficit-Hyperactivity Disorder (ADHD) among Cornell students, utilizing evidence-based practices and staying updated on the latest research and methodologies.
  • Work collaboratively with professionals from various healthcare, academic, and student support services to ensure integrated care and support for students.
  • Integrate values of diversity, equity, inclusion, and belonging into all interactions with students and colleagues, fostering a culture of respect and empathy.
  • Maintain accurate and confidential records, adhering to ethical and legal standards in clinical practice.
  • Communicate complex information effectively to diverse audiences, including students, parents, and healthcare professionals.
  • Participate in ongoing professional development to enhance skills and knowledge in ADHD assessment and treatment.

Essential Qualifications

  • A Master's or Doctorate degree in social work, psychology, mental health counseling, or a related clinical field.
  • Licensure in New York State as a social worker, mental health counselor, or psychologist.
  • A minimum of 3-5 years of experience in assessing and reporting ADHD and co-occurring conditions.
  • Eligibility for CAQH credentialing.
  • Strong interpersonal, written, and electronic communication skills.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience working with diverse or multicultural populations.
  • Understanding of and compliance with ethical and legal issues in clinical services.
  • Ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships based on respect, empathy, and honesty.
  • Familiarity with Cornell's COVID-19 workplace guidance and university services.
