Job Summary
We are looking for an experienced Patient AR/Customer Service Representative to join our team on a full-time basis. As a Patient AR/Customer Service Representative, you will be responsible for managing patient accounts, responding to billing inquiries, and providing exceptional customer service. Key Responsibilities
- Answer incoming phone calls from patients and respond to their questions about medical bills, payment responsibilities, and Explanation of Benefits (EOBs)
 - Take patient payments via phone and process transactions accurately
 - Monitor patients' accounts, follow up on overdue balances, and send accounts to collections as needed
 - Assist with posting payments, resolving billing discrepancies, and ensuring accurate account information
 - Provide exceptional customer service, responding to patient inquiries, and resolving issues in a timely and professional manner
 - Collaborate with internal teams, including clinical and administrative staff, to ensure seamless patient care
 - Stay up-to-date with changes in healthcare regulations, insurance policies, and industry trends
 
Requirements and Qualifications
Essential Qualifications:
- General computer skills, typing skills, and a working knowledge of Medicare, Commercial Payer, and HIPAA Compliance
 - Proficiency with Navinet and other payer websites for eligibility verification and claim status
 - Understanding of accounts receivables in a healthcare setting and strong working knowledge of managed care plans, insurance carriers, referrals, and precertification procedures
 - Ability to prioritize multiple tasks simultaneously in an occasionally stressful environment
 - Excellent communication, interpersonal, and customer service skills
 
Preferred Qualifications:
- Previous experience in patient accounts receivable, customer service, or a related field
 - Familiarity with electronic health records (EHRs) and practice management systems
 - Certification in medical billing, coding, or a related field (e.g., CPC, CCS)

Schedule and Requirements
- Monday to Friday, 8:30 AM - 5:00 PM, with flexibility to accommodate changing schedules
