About the Role

As a Remote Data Entry Clerk at blithequark, you'll be working from the comfort of your own home, utilizing your computer and internet skills to perform a variety of tasks that are essential to our operations. With a strong foundation in MS Office, particularly Excel, and some accounting knowledge, you'll be well-equipped to handle the demands of this role.

Key Responsibilities

  • Settle customer shipments and assist in the preparation of monthly claims, ensuring accuracy and attention to detail.
  • Create invoices and bills in QuickBooks, maintaining up-to-date financial records.
  • Generate and email customer settlement reports, providing timely and effective communication.
  • Verify customer logs, identifying and resolving any discrepancies.
  • Maintain filing systems both electronically and in paper, ensuring organization and easy access to information.
  • Communicate with customers and operation groups regarding shipment report discrepancies, resolving issues promptly.
  • Assist with other administrative tasks, such as answering phone calls, greeting visitors, preparing payroll times, and more.
  • Take on other office administrative related assignments as needed, demonstrating flexibility and a willingness to adapt.

Requirements & Qualifications

To succeed in this role, you'll need:

  • A high school diploma with some college education and/or at least 1 year of office work experience. A background in accounting or a related field is a plus.
  • Proficiency in MS Office, including Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Outlook, and SharePoint. You should be comfortable using these tools to perform a range of tasks.
  • Good oral and written communication skills, with the ability to effectively interact with customers and team members.
  • Working knowledge of QuickBooks is preferred, although not essential. We're happy to provide training for the right candidate.
  • The ability to work independently in a dynamic environment, as well as collaboratively as a team member. You should be self-motivated and able to prioritize tasks effectively.
  • Strong organizational skills, with a keen eye for detail and a commitment to accuracy.
  • The capacity to multi-task and prioritize projects to meet deadlines, ensuring timely completion of tasks.
