About the Role

As a Senior Customer Service Representative at blithequark, you'll be the cornerstone of our customer service team, providing compassionate and effective support to our customers across the U.S. This is a national remote position, offering you the flexibility to work from anywhere within the country. You'll be the first point of contact for many of our customers, addressing their queries, resolving issues, and ensuring they feel supported and valued.

Key Responsibilities

  • Serve as a resource or Subject Matter Expert (SME) for other team members or internal customers, providing guidance and support when needed.
  • Handle escalated calls, resolving complex customer issues in a timely and efficient manner.
  • Respond to incoming phone calls from customers, identifying their needs and providing appropriate assistance, whether it's related to benefits, billing, or authorizations.
  • Actively listen to customers, ask pertinent questions, and document required information in our computer systems.
  • Intervene with care providers on behalf of customers, facilitating appointment scheduling or connecting them with internal specialists.
  • Assist customers in navigating blithequark's websites, promoting self-sufficiency and confidence.
  • Own problems through to resolution, either in real-time or through follow-up actions, ensuring customer satisfaction.
  • Research complex issues across multiple databases and collaborate with support resources to resolve customer issues.
  • Provide education and status updates on pre-authorizations or pre-determination requests.
  • Meet performance goals established for the position, focusing on efficiency, call quality, provider satisfaction, first call resolution, and attendance.

Essential Qualifications

  • High School Diploma or GED.
  • Must be 18 years of age or older.
  • Familiarity with computer and Windows PC applications, with the ability to learn new and complex systems.
  • Ability to successfully complete Customer Service training classes and demonstrate proficiency.
  • Flexibility to work any full-time (40 hours/week), 8-hour shift between the hours of Sun – Sat 8am-11pm EST (October - March) and Mon – Fri 8am – 11pm EST (April – September), with occasional overtime as needed.

Preferred Qualifications

  • 1 year of Customer Service Representative experience or experience in an office setting, call center, or phone support role.

Telecommuting Requirements

  • Ability to maintain the security of company-sensitive documents.
  • A dedicated work area that is separate from living areas and provides information privacy.
  • Residence in a location that can receive a blithequark-approved high-speed internet connection.

Soft Skills for Success

  • Ability to multi-task and understand multiple products and benefits.
  • Flexibility to work scheduled shifts, including lunches and breaks, with the ability to adjust daily schedules and work overtime or weekends as needed.

Our compensation is competitive and based on factors such as local labor markets, education, work experience, and certifications. For California, Colorado, Connecticut, Hawaii, Nevada, New Jersey, New York, Washington, Rhode Island, or Washington, D.C. residents, the hourly range for this role is $16.54 - $32.55 per hour.
