We're now seeking an experienced Support Specialist to join our team and provide top-notch support to our members.

About the Role

As a Support Specialist at blithequark, you'll be the frontline expert for our Customer Care and Billing software products. You'll work closely with our members and software engineers to troubleshoot, research, and resolve issues, ensuring seamless operation of our software. This role is a fantastic opportunity to develop your technical skills, customer service expertise, and industry knowledge.

Key Responsibilities

  • Provide comprehensive application support to our members, including troubleshooting, training, and research to resolve software issues.
  • Follow up on resolutions to ensure satisfactory outcomes and gather feedback for continuous improvement.
  • Assist with software release processes, ensuring smooth transitions and minimal disruption to our members.
  • Communicate effectively with our development staff to convey customer feedback, driving product enhancements and fixes.
  • Deliver on-site or remote training to our members, enhancing their proficiency with our software products.
  • Participate in after-hours support via an on-call support phone rotation, providing timely assistance to members outside regular hours.

Essential Qualifications

To succeed in this role, you'll need:

  • Previous customer support experience, preferably in a utility or coop industry context, with a proven track record of delivering excellent service via phone, email, or other channels.
  • A basic understanding of Project Management processes and methodologies.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to articulate complex technical information in a clear, concise manner.
  • Strong telephone etiquette and interpersonal skills, with a customer-centric approach to issue resolution.
  • Proficiency in PC skills, including common software applications and tools.
  • The ability to teach others, sharing knowledge and expertise to support our members' success.
  • A team-oriented mindset with the flexibility to work independently as needed.

Preferred Qualifications

While not mandatory, the following qualifications can significantly enhance your candidacy:

  • Previous experience with presentations or public speaking, demonstrating your ability to communicate effectively with groups.
  • Familiarity with NISC software or similar utility industry software solutions.
  • A Bachelor's degree in a business-related field or equivalent experience, showcasing your understanding of business principles and practices.

Work Schedule and Location

For candidates with prior Utility and Coop Industry experience or NISC software knowledge, full remote work is a possibility. For others, being local to our Lake Saint Louis, Missouri office is required, with a potential hybrid schedule after training.
