About the Role

We're seeking a full-time, motivated Customer Service Representative to join our team in Texas. As a remote worker, you'll have the flexibility to work from the comfort of your own home, with a starting wage of $15.50 per hour and opportunities to learn and develop your skills. We're not looking for script-readers or order-takers; we want individuals who can think critically, engage with our customers, and provide genuine support. Key Responsibilities

  • Engage directly with customers via phone, email, or chat to address their concerns, provide solutions, and offer personalized support
  • Research and problem-solve to determine appropriate solutions for customers, thinking proactively and setting follow-ups as needed to ensure contact resolution
  • Operate with understanding, utilizing active listening, patience, empathy, and kindness to customers and team members alike
  • Collaborate with teammates, managers, and other stakeholders using virtual collaboration tools such as Zoom, Slack, and webcams to contribute to a customer-centric culture
  • Stay up-to-date with company policies, procedures, and products to provide accurate and helpful information to customers

Essential Qualifications

  • 2 years of customer service experience, preferably in a remote or call center environment
  • Excellent communication skills (written, verbal, and listening) with the ability to articulate complex information in a clear and concise manner
  • Ability to multi-task, navigate computer systems, and perform well in a fast-paced environment
  • Proficiency in using computers, including data entry, rapid navigation through systems, and internet research
  • High school diploma or equivalent required; degree in a related field preferred
  • Must be able to pass a background check and maintain confidentiality and secure sensitive information

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience working in a pet-related industry or with animals
  • Knowledge of customer service software, CRM systems, and helpdesk tools
  • Certifications in customer service, such as CCSP or CSS
  • Bilingual or multilingual skills

Technical Requirements

  • A dedicated workspace that is quiet, private, and free from distractions, with a reliable wired, high-speed internet connection (30 Mbps+ download speed/ 10Mbps+ upload speed)
  • A computer, monitor, keyboard, mouse, headset, and webcam (provided by blithequark)
  • A cell phone or tablet for two-factor authentication through Okta Verify
  • Ability to test and meet the technical requirements, including internet speed and equipment compatibility
