About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and compassionate Customer Service Representative - Specialty Benefits Verification Specialist to join our team. As a vital member of our customer service team, you will play a critical role in supporting customers' specialty benefit verifications, ensuring they receive their crucial medications on time. Key Responsibilities

  • Utilize multiple benefits verification tools using electronic healthcare record systems to locate benefits and run/adjudicate claims.
  • Make outbound calls to contact doctor's offices, insurance, and patients to facilitate the processing of specialty medications, ensuring they are filled and shipped by the expected dates.
  • Complete 80% of cases through back-office work and 20% inbound/outbound calls, with the flexibility to adapt to changing business needs.
  • Effectively handle incoming and outgoing calls to patients, clients, and other customers while proactively gathering patient and order information.
  • Empathize and converse with patients by building a rapport and discussing therapy changes on targeted medications.
  • Navigate through multiple computer applications with speed and accuracy.
  • Utilize and understand HIPPAA compliance, ensuring patients remain adherent to and compliant with their specific therapies.
  • Adapt to learn new call types when business needs change and flex support in those areas.

Work at Home Requirements

To succeed in this role, you will need to meet the following work-at-home requirements:

  • High-speed internet with at least 25 mbps download speed (no satellite, Wi-Fi, or cellular/wireless carrier hotspot or internet services).
  • A hard-wired internet connection via ethernet cable to a modem/router that you own/are responsible for.
  • A dedicated, quiet, and secured workspace with no distractions.
  • A USB wired headset with a noise-canceling microphone.

Additional Requirements

To be considered for this position, you must meet the following requirements:

  • Be at least 18 years old and possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • Have knowledge of healthcare insurance, requirements for dispensing prescriptions, educating customers, and conducting routine assessments (although not required, this experience is a plus).
  • Posess a professional, positive attitude and courteous telephone etiquette.
  • Have a customer-focused personality and a desire to help people.
  • Be available to work a full-time schedule, including weekends, to meet business needs.
  • Be willing to submit to a drug test and background check.
