About the Role: Entry Level American Express Product Designer We are seeking a talented and motivated Entry Level Product Designer to join our team at American Express. Key Responsibilities: • Design and develop high-quality user experiences and user interfaces for our digital products and services, with a focus on Amex Offers • Collaborate with product, research, marketing, and engineering teams to define and develop design solutions • Communicate design concepts and ideas effectively to stakeholders and team members • Work with engineering teams to ensure proper implementation of design solutions • Develop knowledge-driven solutions by partnering with our research team to incorporate customer findings and principles throughout the design process • Transform ideas, business opportunities, partner feedback, and analysis into a vision that delivers a clear, useful, and positive outcome for Amex merchants • Regularly share your designs and review the work of other team members to gain insights, feedback, and drive cross-team collaboration • Identify and share opportunities to refine both individual and team processes • Clearly and confidently communicate design solutions and ideas, with a preference for visual storytelling • Be an enthusiastic advocate for the Amex merchant Essential Qualifications: • 3+ years of professional experience in product design or a related field • Experience working closely with product and engineering teams in an agile environment • Outstanding skills in UX and collaboration design • Proficiency in design and prototyping tools (Figma preferred) • Experience managing and prioritizing multiple projects • Experience communicating to stakeholders how design delivers on customer and business objectives • Bachelor's degree in a related field or relevant work experience Preferred Qualifications: • Experience implementing UX writing and microcopy best practices • Understanding of information architecture and how to apply it to design • Experience creating project guides and service blueprints to understand and communicate a full end-to-end experience • Experience using or contributing to design systems and DesignOps • Experience working in a heavily regulated industry or on a project with significant design constraints • A portfolio showcasing your end-to-end design process Career Growth Opportunities and Learning Benefits At American Express, we are committed to the growth and development of our employees.
