Job Overview and Responsibilities

As a Customer Service Representative at blithequark, you will play a vital role in making a positive impact on our members' lives. Your primary responsibility will be to resolve member concerns, answer questions about our service offerings, and ensure that requests are processed accurately and in a timely manner. You will be the first point of contact for our members, and your excellent communication skills, both written and verbal, will be essential in providing exceptional service and support.

  • Receive and document customer concerns, ensuring all relevant information is correct and up-to-date in a timely manner
  • Follow all company procedures and ensure accurate trip data is input into our systems
  • Demonstrate a personal commitment to producing high-quality work and refer unresolved customer grievances to the designated department for further investigation and resolution
  • Multitask effectively and efficiently to extract necessary information from multiple systems
  • Review and educate members on our services and their insurance coverage

Work Schedule and Requirements

The successful candidate will be required to work after hours, Sunday to Wednesday or Wednesday to Saturday, with four 10-hour shifts. You must live in Virginia and have a reliable high-speed internet connection with a minimum download speed of 25MBPS and upload speed of 5MBPS. You will also need to provide proof of a speed test and have the ability to directly hardwire to your modem. A dedicated work area that is separated from other living areas and provides privacy to review company-sensitive documents securely is also essential.

Essential Qualifications and Skills

To be successful in this role, you will need to have:

  • High School Graduate or General Education Degree (GED)
  • 0-2 years of related experience in customer service or a contact center environment
  • 6+ months of contact center experience or customer service experience
  • Strong organization skills, written, and verbal communication skills
  • Ability to type 35wpm or more and answer a high volume of calls (up to 100+ calls per day)
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and ability to talk and type simultaneously in a clear and concise manner while interacting with customers
  • Sound decision-making and problem-solving skills in a fast-paced environment

Preferred Qualifications and Skills

While not essential, the following qualifications and skills are preferred:

  • Previous experience working in a remote or home-based environment
  • Experience with customer relationship management (CRM) software or other customer service platforms
  • Bilingual or multilingual skills
  • Previous experience working in a healthcare or service-oriented industry
