Job Summary

We're seeking an experienced Director of Airport Operations Customer Service to lead our airport operations team at Chicago's ORD airport. As a key member of our leadership team, you'll be responsible for driving operational performance, customer service, and financial growth. You'll oversee a team of professionals, ensuring they have the skills and resources needed to deliver exceptional results. Key Responsibilities

  • Provide leadership oversight for all aspects of operational performance and service delivery at the airport, including concourse operations, customer service, and team management.
  • Drive reliability metrics, including on-time performance, customer satisfaction, and revenue growth.
  • Manage and optimize airport operations, including check-in, baggage handling, and customer service.
  • Collaborate with union leadership to ensure fair and right company administration of collective bargaining agreements and maintain positive labor relations.
  • Develop and implement training programs to enhance employee skills and knowledge.
  • Oversee budget management, cost control, and financial planning.
  • Drive issue resolution and continuous improvement processes.

Station Operational Performance

  • Drive reliability metrics (OT:00, STAR, Int'l, MST, Commitment, MBTA).
  • Manage and optimize United Track, UP, Client Handling, and Slope Dealing with measurements.
  • Guarantee PLB objective accomplishment.
  • Supervise Genius Group process.

Station Safety and Security

  • Guarantee Airplane Harm and LTI objective accomplishment.
  • Uphold PPBM/Pack consistence.
  • Guarantee station late weight consistence.
  • Guarantee Mishap examination and detailing.
  • Take part in audit sheets (PRB, SRB, and ARB).
  • Fill in as Government office contact (TSA, Air terminal Power, CBP, Police, Fire, FBI, DPU, FAM).

Employee Activities

  • Guarantee Polite, Mindful, and Deferential workplace (ECI execution).
  • Answerable for executing preparing program: compulsory, repetitive, and impromptu.
  • Guarantee Employee Commitment and Enablement.
  • Answerable for durable acknowledgment program.
  • Uphold ability the board and progression arranging.
  • Keep up with shared liability regarding Health The board.
  • Drive Issue Goal Cycle in every space of liability.

Financial Performance

  • Oversees piece of consolidated financial plan of $50-60M.
  • Guarantee Cost control: cost and capital financial plans accomplishment.
  • Oversees labor conveyance against plan.
  • Drive Upsell execution for the station to meet or surpass objective.

Requirements

Essential Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent significant work experience.
  • 7+ years of management experience in an airport operational environment.
  • Proven track record of success in managing a multi-division, complex business, including operations, logistics, business systems, performance metrics, and budgets.
  • Demonstrated progress in people management.
  • Proven ability in decision-making and objective-oriented leadership.
  • Strong experience with operational and corporate processes and systems.
  • Experience managing safety-related programs and regulatory requirements.
  • Past experience managing in a unionized workforce environment.

  • Departmental safety.

  • Functional oversight for merchant powering operations.
  • Functional oversight for all deicing operations.
  • Functional oversight for special services areas (wheelchairs, UMNRs, etc.).
