About the position Responsibilities • Support FEMA MT-2 Program - Letter of Map Revisions through spatial data development and analysis. • Conduct map production and quality reviews. • Engage in watershed management programs. • Collaborate effectively in a fast-paced team environment. Requirements • Bachelor's degree in Geographic Information Systems, Geospatial Information Sciences, Geography, Geomatics or related field. • 0-3 years of experience in the GIS field. • Knowledge of ArcGIS/ArcGIS Pro and associated extensions including 3D Analyst and Spatial Analyst. • Understanding of spatial analysis, data management in a relational database, map preparation, and topographic data development. • Effective written and verbal communication skills. • Ability to multitask and work in a team environment. • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills. Nice-to-haves • Experience with FEMA LOMR - Letter of Map Revision. • Experience with FEMA Flood Insurance Studies, DFIRM production, and Compliance. • Experience with floodplain and flood risk mapping. • Experience with Coastal and Riverine Resiliency, Sea Level Rise, and Vulnerability Studies.
