Key Responsibilities

• Support enrollment, student development, and retention services to ensure a quality learning experience for all students.
• Manage a group of assigned students and coach each through their degree program, providing proactive and timely outreach to ensure their success.
• Encourage and support students through daily and weekly outreach, helping them develop the skills and knowledge needed for academic success.
• Provide a trusted environment where students can share their thoughts, aspirations, concerns, and interests, and offer guidance and support to help them achieve their goals.
• Teach students how to use resources to maximize their success, and provide resume and career development support through certification as a resume reviewer.
• Act as a liaison for students, enabling them to connect with various departments and services within blithequark.

Essential Qualifications

To succeed as a Student Success Coach at blithequark, you will need:

• A Bachelor's degree from an accredited institution of higher learning, accredited by an agency recognized by the U.S. Department of Education (or international equivalent).
• Two or more years of experience in academic/admissions support, customer service, human resources, and/or counseling.
• Knowledge of academic policies and procedures, and the ability to learn technical skills quickly.
• Excellent communication and listening skills, including a pleasant phone manner, and a strong customer support focus with attention to details.

Preferred Qualifications

While not essential, the following qualifications are highly desirable:

• Experience working in a remote or virtual environment.
• Previous experience in a coaching or mentoring role, particularly in an educational setting.
• Certification in a related field, such as career coaching or resume writing.
