About the Role

As a Student Loan Advisor, you will be the primary point of contact for our customers, providing accurate and efficient solutions to their inquiries. Key Responsibilities

  • Take incoming calls, use chat, and complete outbound calls as necessary to assist customers with answering frequent questions, providing detailed information, processing applications, and resolving emerging problems.
  • Utilize standard technology such as a telephone, e-mail, and web browser to navigate to pre-scripted responses and provide basic general and claims-specific information.
  • Follow established and documented policies and standard operating procedures, including working within various systems, timekeeping, documentation of calls, and adhering to ethics and privacy rules.
  • Assist callers with filling out their applications and submitting them electronically to plan providers for processing.
  • Complete basic call logs, documentation, and related call details for each phone inquiry.

Essential Qualifications

To be successful in this role, you will need:

  • A High School diploma or equivalent.
  • The ability to speak and read English clearly, professionally, and fluently.
  • A minimum typing speed of 35 WPM.
  • Experience working with a personal computer and the Windows operating system.
  • Excellent interpersonal and leadership skills.
  • The ability to multi-task and stay organized while completing simultaneous tasks.
  • Strong computer skills with proficiencies in Excel and Word.
  • Excellent command of the English language, effective use of grammar skills, and excellent communication etiquette.

Preferred Skills

While not required, the following skills are highly valued:

  • Experience working in a contact center environment.
  • Knowledge of contact center technology.
  • Previous experience providing customer service in a fast-paced environment.

The schedule for this role is as follows:

  • Monday: 11:45am-8:15pm
  • Tuesday: 10:45am-7:15pm
  • Wednesday: 10:45am-7:15pm
  • Thursday: 8:45am-5:15pm
  • Friday: 8:45am-5:15pm
