Key Responsibilities

  • Customer Engagement: Answer inbound phone calls from Maryland residents seeking information and assistance with health insurance coverage options.

Requirements and Qualifications

Essential Qualifications:

  • Education: High school diploma or equivalent required; college attendance or degree preferred.
  • Communication Skills: Strong verbal and written communication skills.
  • Call Center Experience: Minimum 1 year of high-volume call center experience.
  • Healthcare Experience: Minimum 1 year of healthcare-related customer service experience.
  • Computer Proficiency: Computer proficiency, including Windows 10, MAC OS 10.14 (Mojave) or higher.
  • Health Insurance Knowledge: Ability to learn and understand health insurance policy and terminology.
  • Interpersonal Skills: Strong interpersonal skills and the ability to engage and interact well with customers and coworkers.
  • Problem-Solving Skills: Ability to problem-solve, prioritize, and multi-task.
  • Flexibility: Must be flexible, reliable, and available for occasional overtime as needed.
  • Assessment Tests: Must be able to pass required skill and knowledge assessment tests.
  • Training Commitment: Able to commit to 3 weeks of class training and 4 weeks of supervised call taking (nesting) without missing any time from work.

  • Previous Experience: Previous experience in a call center or customer service environment, preferably in the healthcare industry.
  • Health Insurance Knowledge: Knowledge of health insurance coverage and terminology.
