Job Summary
As a Customer Service Representative at Blithequark, you will be the face of our store, providing exceptional service to our customers and driving sales. Your key priorities will include greeting customers, assisting them with selection of merchandise, completing transactions, and answering questions regarding the store and merchandise. Key Responsibilities
- Customer Engagement: Provide customer engagement in a positive and approachable manner, ensuring that every customer leaves the store feeling valued and satisfied.
 - Store Maintenance: Assist in maintaining a clean, well-stocked store for customers during their shopping experience, including unloading merchandise from delivery trucks, organizing merchandise, and transporting merchandise from stockroom to sales floor.
 - Shelf Stocking: Independently stock shelves and recover merchandise in the store, ensuring that the sales floor is always well-stocked and organized.
 - Transaction Processing: Accurately handle customer funds and process transactions using the POS system, ensuring that every transaction is processed efficiently and accurately.
 - Customer Safety: Remain constantly aware of customer activity to ensure a safe and secure shopping environment, responding promptly to any incidents or concerns.
 - Additional Duties: Perform all other duties as assigned in order to maintain an effective and profitable store operation, including supporting the management team and contributing to the success of the store.
 
Position Requirements
Education
We prefer candidates who have completed high school or equivalent. The ability to follow directives and interpret retail operational documents as assigned is essential for success in this role.
Experience
Previous experience working in retail, hotel, restaurant, grocery, or drug store environments is preferred. However, we are also open to considering candidates who are new to the industry but possess excellent customer service skills and a strong work ethic.
Physical Requirements
The physical demands of this role include:
- Lifting up to 40lbs. (and occasionally, up to 55 lbs.) from floor level to above shoulder height
 - Frequent walking, standing, stooping, kneeling, climbing, pushing, pulling, and repetitive lifting
 - Ability to meet demands of physical labor with or without reasonable accommodation
 
Availability
We require candidates to be available to work a flexible, full-time schedule, including days, evenings, weekends, and holidays.
