**Key Responsibilities**
As a Project Associate, you will be responsible for a range of tasks, including:
* Retrieving patient medical records from various Hospital systems
* Generating and preparing patient itemized bills in appropriate formats for internal and external audits
* Extracting and entering necessary information from/to Hospital patient accounting systems
* Making phone calls to Post-Acute Healthcare Facilities to obtain information needed on patients
* Running and creating reports to support data analysis and decision-making
* Assisting with any other information gathering or data entry as needed by the recovery team
* Scanning and indexing of documents to ensure accurate and efficient record-keeping
**Essential Qualifications**
To succeed in this role, you will need:
* A high school diploma or equivalent, with a focus on business, healthcare, or a related field
* 1-2 years of experience in medical records management, data entry, or a related field
* Proficiency in Microsoft Office, particularly Excel, and experience with data analysis and reporting
* Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively with a diverse team
* Ability to work in a fast-paced environment, with a high level of accuracy and attention to detail
* Familiarity with Hospital patient accounting systems and medical records management software
**Preferred Qualifications**
While not required, the following qualifications would be advantageous:
* Associate's or Bachelor's degree in a related field, such as health information management or business administration
* Experience working in a healthcare setting, with knowledge of medical terminology and coding systems
* Certification in medical records management or a related field, such as RHIT or CCS
* Experience with data analysis and reporting tools, such as Tableau or Power BI
* Familiarity with electronic health records (EHRs) and medical billing software
