Job Overview

In this critical role, you will be responsible for providing exceptional customer service to our members and providers, responding to inquiries, and resolving issues in a timely and professional manner. As a Concierge Customer Service Representative, you will be the primary point of contact for our customers, and your excellent communication skills, patience, and ability to handle complex situations will be essential in delivering outstanding service and ensuring customer satisfaction.

Key Responsibilities

  • Respond to telephone and email inquiries from members and providers within defined service standards, providing accurate and timely information and resolving issues efficiently.
  • Negotiate with providers to gain acceptance for plans without network agreements and/or out of network providers, utilizing strong analytical and research skills to achieve successful outcomes.
  • Assist members with benefits and healthcare questions, providing clear and concise information and support to ensure a positive customer experience.
  • Document all calls received in system-based call log, maintaining accurate and detailed records of customer interactions.
  • Build strong relationships with internal and external customers, including members, providers, and other stakeholders, to ensure seamless communication and collaboration.

Requirements and Qualifications

To be successful in this role, you will need to possess a combination of education, experience, and skills that demonstrate your ability to provide exceptional customer service and navigate complex healthcare issues.

  • Minimum HS Diploma/GED, with 2 years of college or higher education preferred.
  • At least one year of customer service or call center experience in a healthcare-related role, with medical intake or Third-Party Administrator (TPA) experience highly desirable.
  • Bilingual English-Spanish skills are a plus, as are knowledge of medical terminology, provider organizations and networks, and CMS Medicare reimbursement rates.
  • Strong customer relations, interpersonal skills, and the ability to handle confidential and sensitive information with discretion and professionalism.
  • Proficient with Microsoft applications, strong computer skills, and computer navigation, with excellent data entry and typing skills.
  • Ability to effectively negotiate rate structures, take initiative to resolve situations, and accomplish projects, actions, and tasks with independence and judgment.
