As a Remote Customer Service Agent at blithequark, you will serve as the primary point of contact for individuals registering for federal assistance, answering questions about prior registrations, and providing referrals to relief programs via our call center. Key Responsibilities
In this critical role, you will be responsible for:
- Serving as a direct point of contact for individuals registering for federal assistance, asking questions about prior registrations, and seeking relief program referrals via the call center.
- Conducting all calls with patience, tact, and courtesy to determine needs, provide instructions, and/or referrals, ensuring that each interaction is handled with empathy and professionalism.
- Entering information into blithequark's Windows-based computer database as required, following instructions and conducting scripted interviews to ensure accurate and efficient data collection.
- Providing phone numbers and agency referrals as necessary for applicable secondary support organizations and other assistance, connecting individuals with the resources they need to recover and rebuild.
- Performing additional duties assigned based on blithequark's level of support to the event, demonstrating your ability to adapt to changing circumstances and priorities.
- Attending all scheduled shift meetings to receive event-specific information prior to beginning your shift, ensuring that you are always informed and prepared to provide the best possible support.
Essential Qualifications
To be successful in this role, you will need:
- An Associate's degree or equivalent combination of education, technical training, or work experience, demonstrating your ability to learn and grow in a dynamic environment.
- U.S. Citizenship, as you will be working with sensitive information and interacting with individuals who are relying on your support.
- Ability to manage a high level of confidentiality, maintaining the trust and confidence of those you serve.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, including Word, Excel, and Outlook, to efficiently manage data and communicate with colleagues and stakeholders.
- Excellent organizational, written, and verbal communication skills, enabling you to effectively interact with individuals from diverse backgrounds and provide clear, concise information.
- Ability to perform comfortably in a fast-paced, deadline-oriented work environment, prioritizing tasks and managing your time to meet the needs of those you serve.

- A high-speed internet connection, with a minimum download speed of 25 Mbps (50 Mbps for a shared connection) and an upload speed of 5 Mbps (10 Mbps preferred), to ensure seamless communication and data transmission.
