Blithequark is seeking compassionate and skilled Remote Customer Service Representatives to join our team in supporting individuals affected by disasters. As a Customer Service Representative, you will serve as a direct point of contact for disaster survivors registering for federal assistance, seeking relief program referrals, or inquiring about prior registrations. Key Responsibilities

  • Serve as a direct point of contact for disaster survivors registering for federal assistance, asking questions about prior registrations, and seeking relief program referrals via our call center.
  • Conduct all calls with patience, tact, and courtesy to determine needs, provide instructions, and/or referrals while following a scripted interview process.
  • Enter information into our Windows-based computer database as required, ensuring accuracy and efficiency.
  • Provide phone numbers and agency referrals as necessary for applicable secondary support organizations and other assistance.
  • Perform additional duties assigned based on the level of support required for specific events or projects.
  • Attend all scheduled shift meetings to receive event-specific information prior to beginning your shift.
  • Display excellent communication and customer service skills, exhibiting a high level of professionalism in all communications, including reading, writing, and speaking English fluently.

Requirements and Qualifications

Essential Qualifications:

  • Associate degree or equivalent combination of education, technical training, or work experience considered in lieu of a degree.
  • U.S. Citizenship.
  • Ability to manage a high level of confidentiality.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite.
  • Excellent organizational, written, and verbal communication skills.
  • Ability to perform comfortably in a fast-paced, deadline-oriented work environment.
  • Ability to work as a team member, as well as independently.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Bilingual or multilingual skills.
  • Experience working in customer service or a related field.
  • Familiarity with disaster relief programs or services.

Technical Requirements

  • Must have a high-speed internet connection with a minimum download speed of 25 Mbps (50 Mbps for a shared connection) and 5 Mbps (10 Mbps preferred) upload speed.
  • Knowledge and experience with personal computers in a Microsoft Windows-based environment.
  • All call agent work, including data entry, must be done while the disaster survivor is on the phone, with a maximum of 10 seconds of "after-call" work allowed.
  • Agents are not permitted to handle calls via a cell phone or in a public environment.
