As a key member of our Insurance Call Center, you'll be responsible for handling property & casualty (P&C) related customer service and billing inquiries and problems via telephone. Job Summary

As an Insurance Customer Service Representative at Blithequark, you'll have the opportunity to work from home and provide exceptional service to our policyholders. You'll handle inbound and outbound calls, emails, and direct mail to review policies, provide quotes, and make policy changes. Your goal will be to enhance retention, meet customer needs, and provide sufficient protection against risks covered by Property and Casualty insurance.

Key Responsibilities

  • Contact policyholders through inbound/outbound telephone calls, direct mail, and email to review policies prior to renewal
  • Review and update policies to enhance retention and better meet the needs of consumers
  • Counsel policyholders concerning appropriate coverage, policy limits, payment options, and state laws
  • Make recommendations and/or changes to policies and gain policyholder acceptance
  • Receive and respond to calls and emails received by the insurance service center, documenting all activity in EPIC
  • Utilize knowledge of insurance industry and club insurance agency policies and procedures to provide efficient and professional customer service
  • Provide quotes on endorsements as requested
  • Identify opportunities to apply discounts, process insurance verification forms, and act as a liaison for information exchange between customers and insurance companies
  • Process changes to policies within EPIC and submit changes to specific companies
  • Follow up with companies to ensure change requests have been processed in a timely manner
  • Review policy information and reference company-specific claims procedures to assist insured in filing claims
  • Mail insured documentation to be signed and returned as necessary
  • Follow up to ensure documentation has been returned in a timely manner from members/customers
  • Recognize cross-sell opportunities (membership and insurance) and obtain quote information
  • Perform other duties as assigned

Requirements

Essential Qualifications

  • High school diploma or equivalent required
  • 3+ years of increasingly complex customer service experience in an insurance environment
  • Property and Casualty insurance license required

Preferred Qualifications

  • Membership license preferred and/or ability to obtain within 90 days of employment
