**Job Summary**
We are seeking an experienced full stack data engineer to join our Data Engineering team at blithequark. The successful candidate will be responsible for designing, developing, and maintaining cloud-based data pipelines and systems that support our media business. This is a full-time remote position that offers a competitive salary of $27/hour and a range of benefits and perks.
**Key Responsibilities**
As a full stack data engineer at blithequark, you will be responsible for:
* Designing and developing cloud-based data pipelines and systems that support our media business
* Developing and maintaining ETL/ELT data pipelines using SQL, Python, and other technologies
* Creating and maintaining data sets, tables, and views using data modeling and design principles
* Developing and implementing data quality and validation processes to ensure data accuracy and integrity
* Collaborating with cross-functional teams to design and develop data-driven solutions
* Troubleshooting and resolving data-related issues and errors
* Staying up-to-date with the latest technologies and trends in data engineering and cloud computing
**Essential Qualifications**
To be successful in this role, you will need:
* A bachelor's degree in computer science, mathematics, engineering, or a related field
* 2+ years of experience in ELT/ETL data pipeline development and support
* Proficiency in Python and SQL, with experience using Snowflake and PostgreSQL
* Experience with cloud-based technologies, including AWS and cloud design
* Experience with source control systems, including GitLab and GitHub
* Experience with Docker and containerization
* Strong understanding of data modeling and design principles
* Experience working with large datasets and big data technologies, such as Snowflake, Databricks, or similar
**Preferred Qualifications**
While not required, the following qualifications would be highly desirable:
* Experience working with cloud-based data platforms, such as AWS and Azure
* Experience with data warehousing and business intelligence tools, such as Tableau and Power BI
* Experience with machine learning and artificial intelligence technologies
* Experience with data governance and compliance frameworks
* Certification in data engineering, cloud computing, or related fields
