Job Overview
We are seeking an experienced Financial Analyst and Data Entry Specialist to join our team on a part-time basis. As a key member of our Global Merchant and Network Services (GM&NS) Pricing team, you will be responsible for analyzing and reporting on merchant discount income, identifying drivers of change, and driving process improvement among our regional pricing groups. This is a unique opportunity to influence multiple businesses and segments by aligning our organization's objective for profitable charge volume and merchant growth.
Key Responsibilities
- Create a Canada figure for merchant discount income and track monthly performance against forecast
 - Develop merchant discount income scorecards for the Canada region
 - Drive standardization and process improvement among the different regional pricing groups for all reporting and forecasting related activities
 - Support external audits, including investigating issues found, contacting the regional pricing groups that manage the merchant relationship to discuss issues, and managing resolutions
 - Perform ad-hoc data analysis to assess discount rate trends and uncover insights
 
Essential Qualifications
To be successful in this role, you will need:
- 2+ years of experience in financial services or payments industry, and/or other financial roles
 - A Bachelor's degree required; strongly preferred in finance/accounting/business
 - High proficiency with Excel is required
 - Solid attention to detail and organization
 - Solid analytical skills; demonstrated ability to develop complex financial models and draw value-added insights from a large amount of financial data
 - Knowledge of programming languages (e.g., SAS/SQL) is required
 - Excellent communication skills - both written and oral
