Job Overview and Responsibilities

We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Sleep Therapy Inbound Customer Service Representative to join our Sleep Central Inbound Call Center team at blithequark. As the first line of contact for CPAP resupply customers, you will play a vital role in providing exceptional patient care and support. Your primary responsibilities will include new order intake, verifying and entering accurate patient demographics, payer, and physician-related information, as well as assisting customers with basic sleep coaching and product expertise.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Act as a patient advocate to resolve questions or concerns in a timely and professional manner
  • Collect patient and source information, and input data into our e-Intake system with high accuracy
  • Develop and maintain a working knowledge of current Medicare, Medicaid, insurance regulations, and FDA and JCAHO guidelines
  • Provide basic technical customer service assistance for CPAP equipment and educate patients on CPAP supplies
  • Manage all aspects of initial intake via high-volume inbound phone calls and process related patient paperwork as assigned
  • Use our proprietary e-Intake system to maintain accuracy and quality control throughout initial patient contact and data input
  • Make outbound calls as needed to collect patient data and resolve issues promptly
  • Process tickets to ensure timely fulfillment of product orders and maintain prompt and regular attendance

Essential Qualifications and Skills

To be successful in this role, you should possess a high school diploma or GED equivalent, with one to three years of related prior work experience in a team-oriented environment. A strong customer service background and experience in the medical field, particularly in administrative record management, are highly desirable. You should be able to effectively communicate in English, both orally and in writing, and maintain a positive attitude while working in a fast-paced environment.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Knowledge of Durable Medical Equipment (DME) or Home Medical Equipment (HME)
  • Medical billing practices and medical terminology
  • Basic computer and internet skills, with proficiency in Microsoft applications, including Word and Excel
  • Ability to multi-task, with attention to detail, and possess self-motivation, organized, time-management, and deductive problem-solving skills
