As a Fortune 6 healthcare leader, we are dedicated to advancing the health and wellness of our communities, and we are seeking talented professionals like you to join our team. **The Role: Principal DevOps Engineer** As a Principal DevOps Engineer at blithequark, you will play a critical role in driving the company's DevOps strategy, tooling, and culture. You will be responsible for leading the development of DevOps best practices, including continuous integration, continuous delivery, and infrastructure as code. Your expertise will help us to improve the speed, quality, and reliability of our software releases, while ensuring the security and compliance of our systems. **Key Responsibilities:** * Lead the development of DevOps strategy, tooling, and culture across the organization * Establish and maintain DevOps best practices, including continuous integration, continuous delivery, and infrastructure as code * Design and implement infrastructure as code using tools like Terraform, Ansible, or similar * Execute and manage CI/CD pipelines using tools like Jenkins, CircleCI, or similar * Collaborate with security and compliance teams to ensure adherence to industry best practices and regulatory requirements * Monitor and analyze DevOps pipelines and practices, identifying areas for improvement and automation * Stay up-to-date with emerging data technologies, trends, and best practices, and make recommendations for their adoption within the organization's DevOps environment * Coach and provide technical guidance to junior colleagues, promoting a culture of knowledge sharing and continuous learning **Required Qualifications:** * Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field * Experience working in cloud environments, including GCP, Azure, or AWS, and containerization technologies like Docker and Kubernetes * Proficiency in infrastructure as code concepts and tools, such as Terraform and Ansible * Active involvement in CI/CD pipeline tools, such as Jenkins and CircleCI, and version control systems, like Git * Strong programming skills in languages like Python, Java, or similar * Excellent critical thinking and analytical skills, with the ability to investigate complex DevOps stage issues and provide effective solutions * Strong communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to work effectively with cross-functional teams and stakeholders **Preferred Qualifications:** * Experience with monitoring and logging tools, such as Prometheus, Grafana, Splunk, and Cloud Logging Solutions * Knowledge of security best practices in DevOps, including experience with vulnerability scanning, compliance frameworks, and secure deployment practices * Leadership experience, including mentoring and directing junior team members, is a plus **About Our Culture** At blithequark, we value diversity, inclusion, and belonging, and we strive to create a culture that is welcoming and inclusive to all.
