Job Summary

As a Plan Building Specialist, you will play a critical role in designing and configuring complex benefit plans within our QicLink platform. You'll translate client needs into specific plan structures, ensuring compliance with regulations and accurately implementing these plans to enable prompt and accurate claims processing. If you have a strong background in health insurance, excellent analytical skills, and a passion for problem-solving, this is an exciting opportunity to join our team and drive success.

Key Responsibilities

  • Plan Design and Configuration: Interpret plan design requirements to design, build, maintain, and validate self-funded benefit plans within the QicLink platform.
  • Process Automation: Contribute to the design, build, and deployment of overall changes to plan design methodology, driving greater automation in claims processing and administration.
  • Regulatory Compliance: Ensure plan design and implementation adhere to all relevant state and federal regulations, including ACA mandates.
  • Internal Support: Research and resolve internal questions about plan design and function, serving as a resource for internal stakeholders.
  • Documentation and Training: Assist in the development and delivery of documentation and training surrounding new plan designs, configurations, and methodologies.
  • Core Platform Upgrade Testing: Participate in regular core platform upgrade testing and implementation.
  • Other Tasks: Perform other tasks as assigned, demonstrating flexibility and a willingness to adapt to changing priorities.

Essential and Preferred Qualifications

To succeed in this role, you'll need:

Essential Qualifications

  • 3+ years of health insurance experience, preferably as a plan builder or benefit configuration specialist.
  • Experience with claims adjudication and/or system/plan configuration for self-funded plans.
  • High level of accuracy when inputting plan details and reviewing configurations.
  • Ability to analyze client needs and translate them into effective plan designs.
  • Familiarity with industry code sets, including ICD 10, HCPCS, CPT, CDT, etc.
  • Knowledge of regulations pertaining to the health insurance industry, such as HIPAA, ACA, CAA, ERISA, COBRA, and CAQH CORE.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience with QicLink or similar plan administration platforms.
  • Excellent communication skills, with the ability to articulate complex benefit plan designs and system configurations verbally and in writing.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with a solution-oriented approach.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office and data analysis.
  • A strong appetite for continued learning and professional growth.
