Our Last Mile Delivery team is at the forefront of this effort, and we're seeking a highly skilled and experienced Principal Business Developer - Technology to join our team as a key member of our Last Mile Products and Technology organization.

About the Role

As a Principal Business Developer - Technology, you will play a critical role in shaping the future of Amazon's Last Mile delivery operations. You will be responsible for driving the development and launch of new products and services that directly impact our delivery operations, including the deployment of cutting-edge technologies and value-added services to support our delivery drivers and community. This is a fully remote role, offering you the flexibility to work from anywhere and be part of a dynamic team that is passionate about making a difference.

Key Responsibilities

  • Influence Business and Product Strategy: As a trusted advisor, you will influence business and product strategy to drive the growth and innovation of Amazon's Last Mile delivery operations.
  • Negotiate Complex Deals: You will negotiate a wide range of deal types in collaboration with the Delivery Service Partner and Amazon Global Communities product and technology teams, leading the diligence, developing the deal structure and negotiating strategy, and owning the negotiations end-to-end to closure.
  • Interface with C-Suite Executives: You will interface with C-Suite executives from companies of all sizes, from start-ups to industry leaders, to drive business growth and partnerships.
  • Partner Across Multiple Teams: You will partner across multiple internal Amazon teams, including finance, legal, corporate development, operations, and more, to achieve your goals and drive business success.
  • Manage Large-Scale Product Development: You will manage large-scale product development and/or technology relationships, driving the growth and innovation of Amazon's Last Mile delivery operations.

Qualifications and Requirements

To be successful in this role, you will need to have a strong and diverse skillset in relevant areas, including business development, product strategy, and technology. Here are the essential qualifications and requirements for this role:

Basic Qualifications

  • 8+ years of experience in developing, negotiating, and executing business agreements
  • 8+ years of professional or military experience
  • Bachelor's degree
  • Experience developing strategies that influence leadership decisions at the organizational level

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience as a founder or executive focused on related segments, or as a practice leader or business unit owner
  • Experience working with Fortune 1000 or Global 2000 organizations

Compensation, Perks, and Benefits

We're a total compensation company, and our compensation package includes a competitive salary, equity, sign-on payments, and other forms of compensation, depending on the position offered. We also offer a full range of medical, financial, and other benefits to support our employees' well-being and financial security. The base pay for this position ranges from $158,400/year in our lowest geographic market up to $262,000/year in our highest geographic market, depending on market location and job-related knowledge, skills, and experience.
