About the Role

This fully remote position requires a highly skilled and dedicated individual to work closely with our Case Review Unit, Customer Service, Benefits Verification, and Pharmacy Operations teams. As a Prior Authorization Technician, you'll be responsible for:

  • Processing and communicating Specialty medication prior authorization referrals reviewed by the Case Review Unit
  • Collaborating with cross-functional teams to communicate referral status and determinations
  • Providing fax processing and telephone call assistance to prescriber office staff, pharmacies, and members based on program criteria
  • Maintaining accurate and timely documentation of all relevant information
  • Working closely with the Case Review Unit Clinician team for clinical support on daily functions
  • Performing other duties as assigned by the leadership team

Essential Qualifications

To succeed in this role, you'll need:

  • 1 year of healthcare experience
  • Residency in Hawaii
  • Reliable internet connectivity
  • A private, dedicated workspace free from distractions
  • Verifiable High School Diploma or GED

Preferred Qualifications

While not mandatory, the following qualifications will give you a competitive edge:

  • Prior Authorization experience
