As a Prior Authorization Technician, you'll play a vital role in our Specialty Guideline Management Programs, ensuring seamless communication and processing of prior authorization referrals.
About the Role
This fully remote position requires a highly skilled and dedicated individual to work closely with our Case Review Unit, Customer Service, Benefits Verification, and Pharmacy Operations teams. As a Prior Authorization Technician, you'll be responsible for:
- Processing and communicating Specialty medication prior authorization referrals reviewed by the Case Review Unit
- Collaborating with cross-functional teams to communicate referral status and determinations
- Providing fax processing and telephone call assistance to prescriber office staff, pharmacies, and members based on program criteria
- Maintaining accurate and timely documentation of all relevant information
- Working closely with the Case Review Unit Clinician team for clinical support on daily functions
- Performing other duties as assigned by the leadership team
Essential Qualifications
To succeed in this role, you'll need:
- 1 year of healthcare experience
- Residency in Hawaii
- Reliable internet connectivity
- A private, dedicated workspace free from distractions
- Verifiable High School Diploma or GED
Preferred Qualifications
While not mandatory, the following qualifications will give you a competitive edge:
- Prior Authorization experience
