Key Responsibilities

As a Program Analyst, you will be responsible for a range of critical tasks that require technical expertise, project management skills, and collaboration. Your key responsibilities will include:

  • Performing complex system design and program development activities to complete projects as approved by management.
  • Serving as the primary liaison with key users in specific functional areas of the business, ensuring that their needs are met and that solutions are tailored to their requirements.
  • Providing technical guidance and advice to other members of the organization on projects as needed, leveraging your expertise to drive project success.
  • Leading projects that support the BPCS ERP technical areas, and assisting on other projects as defined by the ERP Manager, to ensure timely and effective project delivery.
  • Developing and executing detailed project plans, and providing project and technical guidance to other members of IT or consultants assigned to work on specific projects or functional areas.
  • Completing projects as assigned by the ERP Manager, and being responsible for program installation, technical environment creation, and interfaces between BPCS ERP and external applications.
  • Researching and resolving issues independently in response to Help Tickets, and responding to support calls in a highly visible environment.
  • Other duties as assigned, demonstrating flexibility and a willingness to adapt to changing priorities.

Essential and Preferred Qualifications

To be successful in this role, you will need to possess a strong background in systems and programming, with a focus on the following areas:

  • Minimum of 7-10 years of experience in Systems & Programming, with specialization in RPG/400, CLP, SQL, Java, Query/400, SDA, SEU, PDM, DDS, and ILE Concepts.
  • Working knowledge of IBM I-Series architecture (hardware & software), and experience working with BPCS ERP systems.
  • Minimum of 2-3 years of customer-facing experience, leading meetings, and gathering requirements, with a proven track record of effective communication and collaboration.
  • Ability to research and resolve issues independently, with a strong analytical mindset and problem-solving skills.
  • Prior experience in the design of complex systems, and as a project leader on programming development project teams.
  • Four-year college degree or equivalent experience, with a strong foundation in computer science or a related field.
  • Experience in developing and implementing database and distributive processing applications, with a focus on delivering high-quality solutions.
  • Experience working in a manufacturing environment is highly desired, with a understanding of the unique challenges and opportunities in this sector.
