About the Engineering Enablement Team

The Engineering Enablement team is committed to creating a productive and delightful experience for the DoorDash engineering organization. We work across engineering to deliver training, develop site programs, and increase our brand awareness. We have an innate passion for trailblazing and driving creative solutions. The team acts as a trusted partner to our engineering leadership and recruiting teams, and our efforts directly contribute to building a scalable engineering organization that supports our company roadmap.

What You Will Achieve as a Program Manager, Tech Site

  • Partner closely with the engineering site leads, the engineering enablement team, and key stakeholders across the company to establish the vision, strategy, and success metrics for engineering site operations.
  • Support high-impact initiatives that enable DoorDash engineering teams to function effectively, acting as a thought partner to site leads at various engineering sites, helping to maintain a positive and supportive work culture.
  • Lead projects such as site building and expansion, new hire onboarding, mentorship, hiring, employee engagement, communication with key stakeholders, partnering with company ERGs, tech branding, and content management.
  • Work closely with other members of the Engineering Enablement team to deliver high-quality results, demonstrating a willingness to do whatever it takes to help our organization and team successfully deliver its objectives.
  • Manage expectations for all stakeholders from leadership to individual teams, possess strong problem-solving skills, and earn the trust of partners and teams.
  • Provide timely and succinct communications to leadership and across teams to ensure accountability and timeline management.
  • Understand engineers and enjoy working with them, building trust as you work together to run programs to provide support for the teams.
  • Balancing urgency and priority while moving the needle on multiple initiatives, demonstrating adaptability, resilience, and ability to thrive in ambiguity.

About You - Essential Qualifications and Skills

To be successful in this role, you should have:

  • At least 2 years of experience as a program manager focused on one or more of the following: tech site programs, employee engagement, or employee onboarding, or employee training, within a technology company.
  • A strong understanding of the scaling of tech teams and a passion for growing engineering teams locally and internationally.
  • Excellent program management skills, with the ability to lead planning, resourcing, and tracking of appropriate milestones for program success.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to communicate with confidence, clarity, and focus.
  • Strong team skills, with the ability to collaborate and build relationships across organizations, bridge gaps between teams, and successfully influence without authority.
  • A strong sense of ownership, urgency, and drive, with a willingness to roll up your sleeves and dive into the details to understand and drive your programs.
  • A Bachelor's Degree in a relevant field.
