Job Overview and Key Responsibilities

As a Ramp Agent, you will be responsible for a wide range of tasks that require a strong and diverse skillset. Your daily tasks will include:

  • Safely lifting, loading, unloading, and transporting baggage, mail, and cargo to and from aircraft, in addition to being responsible for timely connections by guiding incoming and departing aircraft from the gate positions.
  • Safeguarding cargo, baggage, and mail from damage, loss, and weather.
  • Safely driving and operating ground equipment such as tugs, belt loaders, and tow tractors in areas of congestion.
  • Operating baggage scanners and computers to ensure baggage is routed accurately to the customer's destination.

Essential Qualifications

To be successful in this role, you will need to possess the following essential qualifications:

  • Consistently prioritize safety and security of self, others, and personal data.
  • Embrace diverse people, thinking, and styles.
  • Possess a high school diploma, GED, or high school equivalency.
  • Be at least 18 years of age and have authorization to work in the United States.
  • Have a valid driver's license.
  • Be proficient in English.
  • Pass a physical ability test (PAT).
  • Be able to wear required company-approved Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) to include, but not limited to: hearing protection, safety-toe footwear, protective headwear (bump cap or hard hat), and high visibility safety apparel subject to an approved accommodation, such as alternate PPE.
  • Ability to hold airport-specific requirements such as a SIDA Badge and Customs Seal.
