Key Responsibilities and Duties

As a Registry Officer (Student Records), your primary focus will be on managing student records from registration to graduation, ensuring accuracy, efficiency, and compliance with institutional regulations and policies. Your key responsibilities will include:

  • Administering annual course setup, student registrations, and attendance confirmations, ensuring all processes are completed in a timely and accurate manner.
  • Managing and administering various discount schemes, such as TFL and National Railcard, to support our students.
  • Processing and issuing essential documents, including letters, degree certificates, diploma supplements, and transcripts, to students, staff, and external parties.
  • Supporting the implementation and maintenance of record management procedures, including enrolment processes, to ensure adherence to institutional and validating university regulations and policies.
  • Serving as a first point of contact for staff and students, providing excellent customer service, and responding to queries regarding registrations, procedures, and processes.
  • Collaborating with the Registry team to achieve departmental goals, sharing knowledge, and best practices to continuously improve our services.

Essential Qualifications and Experience

To be successful in this role, you will need:

  • Substantial experience in administration, preferably in higher education, with a strong understanding of student records management and academic processes.
  • Proven experience in data entry and using databases, with high accuracy and attention to detail.
  • Excellent planning and organizational skills, with the ability to work under pressure, prioritize tasks, and meet deadlines.
  • Outstanding oral and written communication skills, with a commitment to providing exceptional customer service to students, staff, and external stakeholders.
