Job Summary

As a Remote Claims Professional, you will be an integral part of our Claims team, working in a dynamic, detail-oriented, and collaborative setting. You will combine empathy and understanding with investigative and negotiation skills to deliver prompt and fair resolutions to our policyholders. Whether you're working remotely or in one of our offices, you will be expected to flex your skills and adapt to new challenges and rewards every day.

Key Responsibilities

  • Investigate and Resolve Claims: Conduct thorough investigations, gather information, and make informed decisions to resolve claims in a fair and timely manner.
  • Communicate with Policyholders: Provide empathetic and professional communication with policyholders, listening to their concerns and providing comfort and reassurance during challenging times.
  • Collaborate with Colleagues: Work closely with other team members, including adjusters, examiners, and attorneys, to ensure that claims are handled efficiently and effectively.
  • Manage Time and Priorities: Continuously reprioritize tasks and reassess plans in light of new demands, case assignments, policy changes, and other factors.
  • Stay Up-to-Date with Industry Developments: Remain current with industry trends, regulatory changes, and best practices to ensure that claims are handled in accordance with company policies and procedures.

Essential Qualifications

To be considered for this role, you will need to meet the following essential qualifications:

  • Bachelor's Degree: A bachelor's degree in a related field, such as business, insurance, or a related field.
  • Claims Experience: A minimum of 1-2 years of experience in claims handling, preferably in a similar industry.
  • Licenses and Certifications: Possession of relevant licenses and certifications, such as an adjuster's license.

Preferred Qualifications

The following qualifications are preferred, but not required:

  • Advanced Degree: A master's degree in a related field, such as business, insurance, or a related field.
  • Industry Certifications: Possession of industry certifications, such as a Chartered Property Casualty Underwriter (CPCU) designation.
  • Leadership Experience: Experience in a leadership or supervisory role, preferably in a claims handling environment.
