What You'll Do
As a Remote Customer Service Representative on our Payments and Digital Strategy team, you'll play a vital role in ensuring the smooth operation of our credit union's financial services. Your key responsibilities will include:
- Completing data entry and balancing functions to maintain accurate financial records
- Coordinating return items with members, vendors, the Federal Reserve Bank, and other institutions
- Assisting other departments with fraud resolution, member inquiries, and related accounting general ledger balancing
- Working on member cases/issues assigned to you and resolving them efficiently
- Following and maintaining guidelines and procedures to ensure strict compliance with NACHA regulations and guidelines and Federal Banking laws
- Processing loan payments, multi-account and member deposits, credit card payments, and other transactions
- Reviewing, examining, and approving Remote Deposit, Mobile, ATM, and other imaged-enabled products
- Logging, researching, and making necessary GL, account changes, and/or returns
- Processing Stop Pays and Check Batching
- Completing daily balancing and department closing tasks
- Obtaining information from members for the timely and accurate processing of international and domestic funds transfer requests
- Researching and verifying incoming and outgoing funds transfer information
- Communicating with vendors to process funds transfers
- Understanding and being familiar with outgoing and incoming funds transfer laws and regulations
All You Need for Success
Minimum Qualifications
- High school degree or GED
- Intermediate Excel and Word experience
Preferred Qualifications
- Previous customer/member service experience
- Previous banking or Credit Union experience
- Episys/Symitar and processing wires experience
Skills, Licenses, and Certifications
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office software (e.g., Word, Excel, Access, PowerPoint)
- Excellent customer service skills
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and handle multiple tasks
- Strong mathematical calculation and analytical skills
- Ability to prioritize work and meet deadlines under high-volume pressure
- Ability to cross-train and perform any role assigned within the department
- Professional communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to work independently with minimal supervision
- Strong organizational skills and attention to detail
