About the Role

We're seeking highly skilled and experienced Remote Pharmacy Technicians to join our team on a full-time basis. As a Remote Pharmacy Technician, you'll work in a fast-paced, computer-based environment, utilizing your expertise to resolve insurance claims, process prescriptions, and communicate with patients and healthcare professionals. This is a 100% remote role, allowing you to work from the comfort of your own home, with the flexibility to choose your shift within a set schedule.

Key Responsibilities

  • Process prescription exceptions, including resolving claim rejects and conducting member and physician outreach
  • Enter member demographics and prescription information into our data processing system accurately and efficiently
  • Research and resolve rejected insurance billing issues and/or escalated member issues, providing timely and effective solutions
  • Escalate complex prescription-related questions to pharmacists for interpretation and guidance
  • Assist with inbound and/or outbound patient or physician calls, providing excellent customer service and support

Essential Qualifications

To succeed in this role, you'll need:

  • A minimum of 2 years of experience as a Pharmacy Technician, with a strong understanding of pharmacy operations and insurance claims processing
  • Prior experience with Prior Authorization processes and procedures
  • Excellent customer service skills, with the ability to communicate effectively with patients, healthcare professionals, and internal stakeholders
  • Strong computer skills, with proficiency in multiple software applications and systems
  • The ability to work independently in a remote setting, with minimal supervision and distractions
  • A HIPAA-compliant workspace, with a reliable internet connection and necessary equipment (provided by Actalent)

Preferred Qualifications

While not essential, the following qualifications will be considered a plus:

  • Experience working in a high-volume pharmacy or insurance claims processing environment
  • Familiarity with multiple insurance providers and their respective claims processing procedures
  • Certification as a Pharmacy Technician (CPhT) or other relevant certifications
