About the Role

The Digital Media Operations Leader will play a crucial role in leading a team of client service managers to deliver exceptional advertising solutions to blithequark's clients. The successful candidate will have a strong background in digital media, with expertise in video, automatic, and CTV advertising, as well as experience in team management and campaign planning and execution.

The Digital Media Operations Leader will be responsible for leading a team of client service managers to deliver exceptional advertising solutions to blithequark's clients. This will involve planning and executing the functional components of advertising campaigns, from pre-sale direction and media planning to campaign setup, analysis, optimization, reporting, and invoicing. The successful candidate will have a strong understanding of the digital media scene, with explicit skill in video, automatic, and CTV advertising, as well as experience in team management and campaign planning and execution.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead a team of client service managers to deliver exceptional advertising solutions to blithequark's clients
  • Plan and execute the functional components of advertising campaigns, from pre-sale direction and media planning to campaign setup, analysis, optimization, reporting, and invoicing
  • Deliver effective media designs that maximize revenue and drive functional productivity
  • Allocate team responsibilities while contributing to and assisting in campaign management
  • Perform all tasks related to campaign management, including stock gauging, media plan creation, order entry, negotiating, optimizing, reporting, and invoicing
  • Ensure the Record Administrator is fully trained on campaign execution and able to address all related questions
  • Act as the primary point of contact for any escalations on complex issues or requests regarding stock, ad products, or campaigns
  • Assist Sales, Finance, and Accounting in revenue tracking
  • Investigate and resolve ad delivery, ad quality, and technical issues, liaising with global Ad Platforms support
  • Test potential ad tech vendor integrations and provide feedback on contract negotiations
  • Analyze usage and performance of digital inventory to develop strategies and products that maximize revenue yield
  • Mentor, train, and develop talent, including training future hires
  • Create and update internal documentation to clarify processes and best practices
  • Collaborate with regional teams and act as a local center of excellence for other offices across EMEA
  • Maintain up-to-date knowledge of blithequark's ad tech stack and ecosystem, and follow industry developments

Essential Qualifications

  • Graduate level or equivalent experience
  • 3+ years of overall experience in the advertising industry, either publisher/agency side or in ad tech
  • Team management experience
  • Expertise in defining and improving processes
  • Highly skilled in determining, planning, negotiating, and managing ad campaigns for display and video across websites, apps, social platforms, and connected TV environments
  • Proven ability in activating campaigns, creating accurate and relevant insights, and optimizing performance
  • Solid understanding of automatic advertising, technologies that power it, and key vendors in the space
  • Familiarity with general data security and privacy requirements related to digital advertising
  • Able to represent the company in external meetings and events
  • Media or entertainment brand experience is helpful, as is knowledge of the processes and procedures of a global corporation
  • Essential knowledge of ad management systems (e.g., Google Ad Manager), ad server systems (e.g., DV360), and management of Creative Labels and Tracking to support and lead the assigned team
  • Knowledge of Massive activation for digital campaigns and related requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in a relevant field
  • 5+ years of experience in digital media operations, with a focus on client service management and team leadership
  • Experience working with a global corporation, with knowledge of the processes and procedures of a large organization
  • Strong understanding of the digital media landscape, with expertise in video, automatic, and CTV advertising
  • Proven track record of delivering exceptional results and driving revenue growth
  • Excellent leadership and management skills, with the ability to motivate and develop a team
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build strong relationships with clients and internal stakeholders
