Role Overview: Making a Difference in Healthcare
As a Senior Outreach Specialist at blithequark, you will play a pivotal role in our efforts to support hospitals and health plans in improving their revenue and delivering community benefits. Your primary focus will be on assisting patients and plan members with low or no income, as well as those who are aged or disabled, to enroll in government-funded assistance programs. Working in a fast-paced, fully remote contact center environment, you will utilize your exceptional communication skills and compassion to guide individuals through the process of determining eligibility for Social Security benefits and/or supplemental nutritional assistance for families in need.
Key Responsibilities
- Conduct outbound and receive inbound calls with the intent of promoting blithequark's services, with a focus on phone-based interactions (approximately 90%).
 - Interview patients/members via phone to gather personal and sensitive information necessary for determining eligibility for various government programs.
 - Utilize blithequark's systems to ensure that all appropriate questions are asked, interpreting and explaining information such as eligibility requirements and application details to those in need.
 - Employ probing questions to clarify eligibility data with patients or members, compiling, recording, and evaluating personal and financial data to determine eligibility for assistance programs.
 - Ensure the safety and confidentiality of data and systems by adhering to blithequark's information security policies, understanding and agreeing to role-specific information security access and responsibilities.
 - Read, understand, and agree to security policies, completing all annual security and compliance training to maintain the highest standards of data protection.
 
Essential and Preferred Qualifications
