Job Overview

This is a full-time remote position available to candidates based in the United States. As a Data Entry Specialist at blithequark, you will play a critical role in ensuring the accuracy and integrity of our data, while maintaining compliance with food safety and quality regulations. Your primary responsibilities will include preparing, sorting, and interpreting data, as well as maintaining our tracking systems and updating existing systems to meet future requirements.

Key Responsibilities

  • Preparing, sorting, and interpreting data in an organized manner to ensure efficient data entry, including matching assemblies with batch tickets.
  • Closing Batch Tickets for both locations, ensuring accuracy and attention to detail.
  • Reading and understanding product formulas, building sheets, and bill of materials, with a strong grasp of units of measure.
  • Clarifying missing information by contacting document authors, ensuring that all data is accurate and up-to-date.
  • Maintaining current tracking systems and updating existing systems to meet future requirements, with a focus on continuous improvement.
  • Understanding the management of Quality Systems, including SQF, HACCP, and GMP practices, to ensure the safety and quality of our products.
  • Adhering to PPE requirements as required, ensuring a safe working environment.
  • Performing other duties as assigned, with a flexible and adaptable approach to changing priorities.

Qualifications and Requirements

To be successful in this role, you will need to possess the following qualifications and skills:

  • Bilingual English/Spanish (reading/writing/speaking) is required, with excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • An Associate degree or equivalent, with a minimum of 2 years of experience in data entry or a related field.
  • Minimum of one year of experience in a manufacturing environment, with a strong understanding of food safety and quality regulations.
  • Excellent consultative, strategic thinking, and problem-solving skills, with the ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Strong analytical and organizational skills, with attention to detail and a focus on accuracy.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Prior experience in manufacturing, with a strong understanding of food safety and quality regulations.
  • Experience with data entry software and systems, with the ability to learn new systems quickly.
  • Certification in food safety or quality assurance, such as HACCP or SQF, with a commitment to ongoing learning and professional development.
