Key Responsibilities

As a Customer Service Representative at blithequark, your primary duties and responsibilities will include:

  • Heavy phone contact with policyholders, providers, and interested third parties to address their queries and concerns.
  • Processing policyholder requests from correspondence, phone calls, and emails in a timely and efficient manner.
  • Reviewing and maintaining new and revised procedures regarding policy information to ensure accuracy and compliance.
  • Managing department standards for the number of calls, average handle time, and time management to meet productivity goals.
  • Maintaining confidentiality and handling sensitive information with care.
  • Utilizing excellent alpha and number recognition skills to accurately process information.
  • Demonstrating mathematical abilities to perform calculations and analyze data.
  • Possessing basic PC skills and being able to learn new software applications quickly.
  • Handling high-stress situations calmly and with tact and professionalism.
  • Making strong decisions with the ability to analyze situations and make logical conclusions.

Requirements and Qualifications

To be successful as a Customer Service Representative at blithequark, you will need:

Essential Qualifications:

  • High school diploma or equivalent required; some college preferred.
  • At least one year of office experience preferred; telecommunications experience a plus.
  • Life and Health insurance background and knowledge of insurance operations desired.
  • Excellent customer service background and good phone skills.
  • Strong communication, both written and oral, and organization skills.
  • Ability to maintain confidentiality and handle sensitive information.
  • Excellent alpha and number recognition skills.
  • Demonstrated mathematical abilities.
  • Basic PC skills and ability to learn new software applications quickly.
  • Ability to handle high-stress situations calmly and with tact and professionalism.
  • Strong decision-making skills with the ability to analyze situations and make logical conclusions.
  • Reliable and predictable attendance required.
  • Must be able to type at least 30WPM.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Bilingual employees (Eng/Span) are eligible for a pay differential.
  • Ability to work Full-Time and/or Part-Time based on the specific position for which you're applying.

Physical Requirements

As a Customer Service Representative at blithequark, you will be required to:

  • Work in a home office or quiet designated space with minimal distractions.
  • Have heavy phone and PC usage, sitting for extended periods of time, and frequently reaching above shoulder level.

  • Have high-speed internet (20mbps/Upload) and a smartphone.
