Job Overview
We are seeking enthusiastic and dedicated music teachers to teach beginning level violin, piano, and guitar to students of various age groups, including 3-5 year olds. As a Music Kids Faculty Member, you will have the opportunity to work with students in small group settings, providing personalized instruction and guidance to help them develop their musical skills. Our ideal candidate is a team player who is passionate about music education, has excellent communication skills, and is comfortable working in a fast-paced environment.
Key Responsibilities
- Teach small group classes in violin, piano, and guitar to students of various age groups, including 3-5 year olds
 - Develop and implement engaging lesson plans that cater to the needs of beginner students
 - Provide individualized attention and feedback to students to help them improve their musical skills
 - Manage student records, provide progress updates to parents, and support students virtually
 - Participate in professional development opportunities to enhance teaching skills and stay up-to-date with best practices in music education
 - Promote the program and drive enrollment at partner school events throughout the year
 - Collaborate with senior resident Faculty Members and staff to achieve program goals and objectives
 
Essential Qualifications
- At least 1-2 years of teaching experience in music classes or a traditional classroom setting
 - Ability to teach more than one instrument at a beginning level, or ideally all three (violin, piano, and guitar)
 - Strong interest in working with a wide range of student age groups, especially beginning level students
 - Passion for having a direct impact on the primary education system in the United States
 - Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
 - Ability to work independently and as part of a team
 - Reliable, organized, and timely, with friendly verbal and written communication skills
 
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience with leadership or project management
 - Ability to work closely with an office staff in administrative and professional development functions
 - Familiarity with digital tools and software, including email, internal instant messaging, company databases, and digital timekeeping
 - Ownership of a car to commute to/from partner schools (optional in some cases, but strongly preferred)

Compensation, Perks, and Benefits
We offer a competitive salary range of $45,760 - $68,640 per year, depending on experience and qualifications. Additional benefits include paid time off, retirement plans, and medical benefits for employees working 20+ hours per week. We also offer above-average commute time bonuses for all employees.
