Job Overview
We are seeking an experienced Occupational Therapist (OT) to join our team on a PRN basis. As an OT, you will play a vital role in providing restorative therapy to our clients, using special techniques and adaptive devices to assist them in gaining independence in activities of living. You will also oversee Occupational Therapy Assistants to ensure the appropriate implementation of the plan of care. Key Responsibilities
- Provide comprehensive subjective and objective admission and ongoing assessment of client functional status and activities of daily living
- Administer functional ability tests and competency as needed
- Evaluate adaptive equipment needs and obtain equipment for clients
- Formulate individualized therapy plans of care that incorporate analysis of assessment data
- Provide therapy interventions aimed at achieving realistic outcomes within a specified period
- Modify and update the therapy plan of care to reflect progress toward outcomes
- Participate in the development, review, and updating of the care plan
- Consistently demonstrate competency with occupational therapy skills according to personal and legal scope of practice
- Evaluate the home environment and make appropriate recommendations
- Instruct clients, families, and other team members in proper use of assistive equipment, prosthetic devices, and adaptation devices
- Evaluate the effectiveness of teaching and modify accordingly
- Promote client/family autonomy
- Relay significant changes in status to physicians and other members of the team in a timely manner
- Maintain client records showing systematic assessment, planning, intervention, and evaluation
- Document client charts, records, and clinical notes legibly and according to documentation guidelines and standards
- Supervise certified occupational therapy assistants according to organization policy and state regulations
Essential Qualifications
- Graduate of an occupational therapy curriculum accredited jointly by the Committee on Allied Health Education and Accreditation of the American Medical Association and the American Occupational Therapy Association
- Registered with the National Registration Examination of the American Occupational Therapy Association
- Possess and maintain current CPR certification
- One (1) year of experience as an Occupational Therapist
- Licensed driver with an automobile that is in good working order and insured in accordance with organization requirements
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience with EHR systems and their implementation/optimization in complex clinical settings
- Proficiency with federal, state, and governing agency regulations
- Participation in continued clinical and in-service education, as well as professional training required by law
- Knowledge and comfort level working with technology and enterprise-wide support systems and tools
- Successful management of a high volume of work, changing priorities as needed
- Appropriate judgment and critical thinking in decisions that require consideration of regulatory compliance, customer service, patient welfare, and company interests

Compensation, Perks, and Benefits
We offer a competitive salary, with a range of $50,000 per year, depending on experience.
