Job Summary

We are looking for a detail-oriented and customer-focused Call Center Representative to work remotely. The successful candidate will be responsible for performing patient enrollment, data entry, and customer service tasks while adhering to blithequark's policies and procedures. This is a full-time opportunity that offers a competitive salary of $25-$35 per hour, depending on experience.

Key Responsibilities

  • Perform patient enrollment and data entry tasks accurately and efficiently, utilizing blithequark's pharmacy systems to retrieve patient and medication information.
  • Handle patient medication requests within HIPAA guidelines and enter top-off orders for processing.
  • Investigate and resolve missing prescription data, and decipher clinical abbreviations (SIG codes).
  • Resolve data entry-related exceptions and outliers by inspecting, gathering information, making adjustments, and resubmitting for processing.
  • Communicate effectively with patients (inbound calls, visits, messages) and settle outbound calls to prescribers and patients as needed.
  • Provide support to pharmacists, both those in the office and those in different locations, and identify and convey issues to senior-level staff as appropriate.
  • Obtain and maintain an active specialist license or certification within the initial 90 days, and keep a functioning professional license or certification.

Essential Qualifications

  • High school diploma or GED required.
  • Basic computer skills, including:
    • Startup and shutdown of PC
    • Using the mouse to point and click
    • Starting and closing programs
    • Switching between programs
    • Saving files and printing documents
    • Accessing data online
  • Basic web browser skills, including:
    • Opening a browser
    • Typing URLs in the correct area
    • Using a search engine
    • Bookmarking a webpage
    • Navigating using back/forward/stop buttons
    • Completing forms online
  • Intermediate keyboarding skills (at least 25 WPM, typing by memory, organizing reports).
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • 18 years old or older.

Preferred Qualifications

  • At least 1 year of pharmacy specialist experience in a retail or call center environment.
  • At least 1.5 years as a pharmacy specialist with a certificate/registration by the state as conferred by the State Board for Pharmacy or broadly recognized certification agency.
  • Experience providing customer service to internal and external clients, including meeting quality standards for services, and assessment of customer satisfaction.
  • Advanced keyboarding skills (at least 35 WPM, typing by memory, designing documents).
  • Familiarity with Spanish and English.
